Do you manage my portfolio?
The electronic portfolio holdings that clients can view on the internet site are only an indication of holdings with Sanford. The dynamic nature of the market and structure of companies on the ASX, means that portfolio holdings may not always be 100% accurate. We cannot thus guarantee accuracy in this instance. As managing clients' portfolios is not a service that we provide, it is up to our clients to be aware of the stock that they have. We need you to assist us with ensuring that your portfolio reflects your correct holding. Our reconciliation team then confirms your requests with the ASX and we can update your portfolio if there are variances.

What security arrangements are provided online?
We use the industry standard protocol - Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to encode and decode the data transmitted between our web site and your computer. The protocol uses a pair of asymmetric keys - a public key and a private key - developed by RSA laboratories to encrypt and decrypt data.
Encryption is a method of scrambling messages so that they cannot be read without decryption keys. Generally the length of the key used to encrypt messages is a good indication of the amount of effort required to decrypt that message. To log-in to the Members Area of our web site, clients must use Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Internet Explorer browser version 5.0, or better to ensure that they can take full advantage of the encryption we employ. When clients log-in to our web site using one of these browsers, our system automatically seeks to protect communications with us by verifying the clients identity with the help of user authentication.
In addition to your log-in identification numbers clients will also be assigned a trading password. This password has been implemented to ensure that if clients leave their computer unattended, they have additional protection against the risk of anyone else trading on their account.
On occasion clients may need to place a trade with the assistance of our client service centre. To do so, clients need to provide us with their nominated keyword.
