What is WAP?
WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) is an open, global specification that has been designed to provide text information and services to clients over their mobile phone. To access WAP content you need a WAP-enabled mobile phone and users can only access sites that have been designed in WML (Wireless Markup Language) for WAP.

Sanford WAP Access
Access to the Sanford WAP pages are at no cost to Sanford clients (apart from fees for usage charged by Telecommunication companies). Sanford Securities have embraced this new technology, and clients are now able to access Sanford's trading and information services using WAP on their mobile phone. You can currently access Sanford Securities WAP using the open Telstra network, with a WAP enabled phone (Ericsson R320, Nokia 7110 and Motorola L Series). The Sanford WAP service can also be accessed via the Optus WAP portal.

Sanford's Premium and Professional clients can now use their identical logon information to log onto the Sanford WAP service.

Why use WAP?
Information
WAP enables you to access a wide range of information services provided to clients of Sanford. These include live market quotes, watch screens, market depth, company announcements and news information. You are always kept informed with your account and portfolio details, all available on the screen of your mobile phone.
Trading
Not only can you access information services, you can also place buy and sell orders as well as view outstanding orders using your mobile phone. Sanford's SMS alerts keep you informed on what is happening in the market and notify you of trading opportunities.
Mobility
Gone are the days where you could only trade by phoning your Broker, or by being in front of your PC. Now, you are able to trade wherever you are, whenever you want - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All this can be done via your mobile phone, using the WAP service.

How to access the Sanford WAP Service
To access Sanford Securities' WAP Service, go to www.sanford.com.au/wap/start.asp from your WAP-enabled mobile phone. Once you are at this address, the service will prompt you for your Internet Username and Password. You will need to enter the same username and password that you use for the Internet service. Once you have entered the necessary details, you should be logged onto the Sanford WAP Site.
