Tiger Jumping Valley

Between the Yulong Snow Mountain and the Haba Snow Mountain in Zhongdian ,the Jinsha River¡¦s banks suddenly are formed a narrow mouth ,the narrowest place is only 30 meters wide.

It is named that a tiger jumped over the river to opposite bank from here .The falling difference from the river to the two sides of mountain peaks reaches to the 3900 meters, it is one of the deepest valleys in the world. The length of the Tiger Jumping Valley is about 16 Km long, with 18 dangerous rapids, water flowing so fast and 210 meters falling down on the river make here as a most dangerous drifting place in the world. Those people who love the drifting sport often go there for the venture.
